At its January meeting, the OROK board of directors voted to “recommend” three candidates in the municipal and special elections coming up ON February 13.

These are:

“Each of these candidates reflects our progressive-populist politics, and the core ideals of Our Revolution,” said Rena Guay, a spokesperson for OROK. “They are focused on people-oriented policies, and do not take corporate donations.”

Due to the closeness of the elections, the board deferred consideration of endorsements of these candidates. A Recommended status means the group will encourage its members to give donations and volunteer support for a candidate whose values and campaign principles are in accord with Our Revolution’s.

Holiday themed meeting included updates on the groups’ work in its first year

OKLAHOMA CITY – Our Revolution Oklahoma, which met first in February and gained official status in August, held its first post-incorporation quarterly membership meeting on Dec. 12 at the Teamsters Union Hall in Oklahoma City. About 150 attended the event, which included a forum by gubernatorial candidates Connie Johnson and Drew Edmondson, the two candidates who responded to the organization’s questionnaire.
